Terms of use
These terms apply to everyone who uses MATCHKLUS. Read them before you create an account — creating one means you accept them.
What MATCHKLUS is, and what it is not
MATCHKLUS introduces neighbours to each other. When two members agree, we release their contact details and step out of the way.
MATCHKLUS is not a party to any agreement you make with another member. We are not your employer, not your client, and not an employment agency. We do not supervise the work, set its price, guarantee its quality, or hold any money for it.
Any agreement about a job — what is done, when, and for how much — is between the two members, and so is any dispute about it.
Who may use MATCHKLUS
You must be 18 or older and able to enter into agreements on your own behalf.
You register either as a private individual or, if you are offering work through a registered business, as a company with a KvK number. Give accurate details and keep them up to date.
One person, one account. Do not create an account for someone else or let someone else use yours.
Tax, insurance and your own obligations
Money you earn through jobs found on MATCHKLUS may be taxable. Deciding that, declaring it and paying it are your responsibility, not ours.
Private individuals hiring help at home in the Netherlands may fall under the Regeling dienstverlening aan huis. That regime carries obligations of its own. If you are unsure where you stand, take advice before you agree to work.
MATCHKLUS does not insure members or the work they do. Check your own liability cover before taking on a job.
What you may not do
Using MATCHKLUS to do any of the following will cost you your account:
- Posting a job you do not intend to have done, or that is not real.
- Advertising goods or services unrelated to neighbourhood work.
- Harassing, threatening or abusing another member.
- Collecting other members’ details for any purpose other than arranging a job with them.
- Getting around a block, a suspension or the safety features described in these terms.
- Anything unlawful under Dutch law.
What you post
You keep ownership of what you write and the photos you upload. You give MATCHKLUS permission to display them to other members so the platform can work.
Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share, and do not photograph people who have not agreed to it.
We may remove content that breaks these terms, and we will keep a record of the removal.
Suspension and ending your account
You can close your account at any time from your profile.
We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. Where we can, we will say why. Suspension ends the account’s access immediately and removes its live jobs.
Some records outlive an account — a report someone else made, or a message another member may need — and we keep those for as long as we must.
Liability
MATCHKLUS provides the introduction. We do not accept liability for the work itself, for what a member does or fails to do, or for any loss arising from an agreement between members.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Dutch law, including for intent or gross negligence on our part.
Changes, law and disputes
We may change these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you before it takes effect and you can close your account if you disagree.
Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless the law gives you the right to a different court.
